GO Pro! PADI Instructor
Duration: 12-14 days
Prerequisites: PADI Divemaster, 100 logged dives, certified diver for 6 months, medical clearance to dive within 12 months, EFR or equivalent within 24 months
The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is your final step in the quest to become a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor allowing you to teach, train and introduce the world of scuba diving to others! During the IDC, you’ll learn to use and adapt the PADI system of diver education to individual student needs.
Our IDC program consists of the following:
- IDC eLearning Presentations – 2 days
- Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI) course – 1 day
- IDC Prep program – 2 days
- IDC – 7 days
- IE – 2 days
The IDC Prep program is something extra that we include for free. During these 2 days you will refresh on the Divemaster water skills demonstrations and dive theory in order to prepare the candidates for the instructor course.
During the PADI Instructor Development Course you will not only be in a classroom, more than half of the time will be spent in the water conducting training sessions and workshops. The 7 day schedule includes a day off in the middle and the whole experience is mot only challenging but a lot of fun!
The Instructor Exam is the final step in becoming an PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI. This will take 2-3 days and consists of an independent PADI Examiner assessing you on the skills you developed during the IDC. The best part is the celebration party afterwards!
After completing the IDC and becoming an OWSI you will be able teach the following courses:

- Adventure Diver / Advanced Open Water
- Rescue Diver
- Bubblemaker and Seal Team
- Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty
- Project AWARE Specialty
- AWARE Coral Reef Conservation Specialty
